Investment procedures are set to be streamlined with a new one-stop option allowing users to access 16 different ministerial / governmental services from a single website, which will be set to go online within six months.
The new investment clearance service also comes with a guarantee that all processing will be completed within an agreed timeframe. Among the services to be provided by the site are trade licences; land registration; construction permits; company name registration; environmental clearance; as well as the provision of electricity, gas, water, telephone and internet connections. The proposed legislation also allows for the liberalisation of visa and immigration requirements with regard to foreign investors.
